Powerful Performance

The 2018 Mazda3 has two engine options that both deliver a thrilling driving experience with finely tuned driving dynamics.

The standard 2.0-liter four cylinder engine delivers 155 horsepower and is paired with either a six speed automatic or manual transmission. The other engine is a 184 horsepower 2.5-liter four cylinder engine.

Both powertrain options feature SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY for enhanced performance, better efficiency, and more fun behind the wheel.

SKYACTIV® Vehicle Dynamics with G-Vectoring Control technology provides drivers with smoother, less fatiguing driving experience by adjusting power delivery and shifting the Mazda3's weight.

Advanced Safety

Safety is not only a top concern for drivers but the Mazda3 is designed with safety in mind.

Which is why the 2018 Mazda3 features more standard safety features and available advanced safety features to make sure everyone enjoys getting to their final destination safely.

Safety features that are standard on every 2018 Mazd3 include Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio steaming, SMS text message audio delivery and reply, E911 automatic emergency notification, Rearview camera, and Smart City Brake support.

The Touring and Grand Touring Mazda3 trim levels are equipped with Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The 2018 Mazda3 is helping keep your eyes on the road with full color Active Driving Display that puts the important information in your line of sight.

Trim Levels & Models

Sometimes it can be just as difficult to choose what trim level you want as it was to decide what vehicle and the 2018 Mazda3 doesn't make it easy. With three trim levels available on either a four door sedan or a five door hatchback it can be hard to decide which Mazda3 is best for you. So Byers Mazda is here to help by highlighting features on each trim level as well as comparing interior size specs.

Both the sedan and hatchback Mazda3's offer the same trim levels and features, only the body style is different. The base level trim, the Mazdz3 Sport, are equipped with a standard  7 inch full-color touch screen display, MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system, and Steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The Touring and Grand Touring trim levels share many of the same standard features that includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, and Rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Grand Touring trim level exclusively offers Bose Surround Sound system, Full-color Active Driving Display, and perforated leather-trimmed sport seats.

Trim Level Breakdown

Mazda3 Sport

While the Mazda3 Sport trim is considered to be our "base" trim level, you'll find it still comes standard with a lot more conveniences than can be found in your average sedan or hatchback model. The entertainment system of the Mazda3 Sport gives you considerably more applications and features thanks to the MAZDA CONNECT™ Infotainment System, featuring Aha™ internet radio integration, HD Radio™, Pandora®, Stitcher™, SMS text messaging audio delivery and reply and an E911 emergency notification, all in addition to the AM/FM radio dial and Bluetooth®. The Mazda3 Sport five-door hatchback model adds on some interesting design features such as 16-inch alloy wheels (rather than steel), dual exhaust with bright tip finishers, and a rear roofline spoiler.

Mazda3 Touring

The biggest changes made in the Mazda3, when it comes to this trim level, are in its engine and available technology. Underneath the hood of the Mazda3 Touring, you'll find a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve SKYACTIV®-G engine with variable valve timing (VVT) which generates 184 horsepower and features SKYACTIVE®-VEHICLE DYNAMICS with G-Vectoring Control, for a more enhanced and dynamic driving experience, as if you were driving a sports car. When it comes to technology, you won't be disappointed with all that this trim brings to the table in order to make life a little easier. Such convenient amenities include front dual-zone climate control, variable heated front seats, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a leather interior (including leatherette-trimmed sports seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel), and the Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry. Best of all, you'll find that most of the conveniences of the previous trim level carry over to this one and they also come standard on the Mazda3 Touring hatchback model.

Mazda3 Grand Touring

The Mazda3 Grand Touring is one of our most high-tech and advanced models to offer, adding on several technologies on the inside and out to enhance visibility and keep your passengers entertained. On the outside of the Mazda3 Grand Touring (sedan and hatchback), you'll find bright and energy-efficienct lights to guide your way, including Bi-LED headlights with auto leveling, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED combination taillights, and LED fog lights. The Mazda3 Grand Touring also upgrades your stereo system from six speakers to the Bose® nine-speaker surround sound system with Centerpoint® 2 and AudioPilot® 2. The Mazda3 Grand Touring is the only trim level to feature a power sliding-glass moonroof with a one-touch feature and interior sunshade.
